It is expected that this year over 60% of all visitors will come to the show looking to fulfill their food service needs, searching for everything from equipment to the basic ingredients. I am sure this year's visitors will be very pleased. EXPO Alimentaria is really doing a great job at attracting the right combination of exhibitors. Here you see food and beverage from all over including every single category. Today's Mexican entrepreneur is looking to improve their service and differentiate themselves from the rest. With Trade Shows you can see products form all over the world in one place.
As an exhibitor you can expect to run into buyers from some of Mexico's largest retail giants; Wal-Mart, Gigante, Comercial Mexicana, Soriana as well as the thousands of grocery and beverage wholesalers. Here they gather to see what's hot and what's not. They also look for new products and suppliers and it's a great way to meet the decision makers and spend face to face time with them.
Mexico has a territory of 1,972,550 Square Kilometers. That's is 896,614 Square Miles. Mexico is a federal constitutional republic (states have a constitution and government like the USA), consisting of 31 states and a federal district, Mexico City (Ciudad de M'xico), is one of the most populous cities on Earth covering almost 2 million square kilometers, Mexico is the 6th largest country in America by total area and 15th largest in the world. Mexico is the largest Spanish speaking country in all of the world. It has 120 million people. As the only Latin American member of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) since 1994, Mexico is firmly established as an upper middle-income country. It has very little unemployment and a growing working class population.
The country of Mexico, officially called Estados Unidos Mexicanos, has a stable economy with low unemployment and a very young population. After the 1994 economic debacle, Mexico has made an impressive recovery, building a modern and diversified economy. Recent administrations have also improved infrastructure and opened competition in seaports, railroads, telecommunications, electricity generation, natural gas distribution and airports.
Mexico has and will always be an important and strategic market for any food or beverage product for anywhere in the world. It is also the gateway to sell to the rest of Latin America. Actually, the greater Mexico City, with it's almost 30 million inhabitants, it's referred many times as the capital of Latin America.
